StackOverflow will provide me with much-needed reference and expertise and I hope to learn from it not only by asking questions, but also by trying to find answers to other's questions where I can.

Vulgaire? Profane? Banale? Futile? Sans substance? Grossière? Franchement, j'aime mieux triviale.

"Je connais parler latin" is utterly wrong, however.

comment If “Je t'aime” means “I love you”, how do you say “I like you” in French while still addressing the other person as “tu”?
Me neiher, but if the person you're trying to seduce knowns her/his classics, you may get bonus points. I guess I'm more on the "Tu ne me laisses pas indifférent." end of the spectrum than on the "Je te kiffe grave!!" one.

Glad your answer came before I finished mine, I would have forgotten "y".

comment Comment traduire « general reference question » ?

Indeed, "Je t'aime bien" is also a way of saying "but I'll nevere, ever, love you". To say "I love you", you'd rather use "Je ne te hais point."

comment Is it more common/acceptable to use “francophonisms” for modern words or just the original English term?
