Didn't know about that (weird...), thanks for the clarification!

comment « Hear!, Hear! » : variantes pour la marque d'approbation lors du discours/toast ?
Could you add in short what the answers you mention say? To avoid the "link-only" issue (with external content that can 404, plus lacking the all-relevant-info-in-one-place - mostly appreciated while browsing on phone but not only for that reason).

comment Update vs upgrade in French
Could it be you were referencing some colloquial way of saying it VS official/usual actual writing/display in a software? I might be making an extraneous interpretation out of your answer but it left me curious, my knowledge may indeed be limited. Just shared my experience, thanks for your thoughtful answer.

Never heard montée de version and I must disagree with its 'clearer' adjective.

comment When to use 'je te kiffe'?
I personally don't interpret it the way you did. More like a funky way (see my answer) to say "to like/love me". Of course the rapper might be insinuating some extra related "actions". Note: I don't personally know that song, it might clearly set a context making me wrong on my personal assumptions. Thank you for (trying to?) contributing to answers!

comment Pourquoi n'y a-t-il pas de contraire de “cher” ?
C'est comme "peu profond", il n'y a pas terme en Français. (En anglais il s'agit de "shallow")

comment What is a good native french dictionary and grammar book?
The most known are, to me, Larousse and Le petit Robert. So they might be the most appropriate. I don't really know any others though.

comment How to identify a condition (for use of conditionnel présent)?
@AbhimanyuArora You French isn't bad ☺ but if I may correct you, I think you meant: "Merci. Si ça vous convient, répondez en anglais s'il vous plaît. Je peux juste comprendre des phrases courtes et simples pour le moment.". He said that "si" is only followed by a conditional if the sentence is in the past (à l'imparfait), when it isn't (like here) we either use a future or a present (but a present, which actually means a future). (Well, he said this more or less, I hope the translation is right)

comment French word for female cat?
@chilladx Aha, this word is rarely used to mean gently kiss, it's a bit "old fashioned", but also understood by pretty much everyone still.

comment French word for female cat?
@foxyfennec now* (correction for my first answer). Aha, that's a tough question, I should think about it. The first one that I think of might be the french word for tail which is "queue" which means the male sex (that's very nasty) (but it's usually less weird when used than "chatte") or perhaps some other metaphoric words like for instance "mes boules" (my balls) (I think the prob is obvious even in English there). I'll tell ya if I think about other stuff.

comment French word for female cat?
AFAIK it's more a "modern" thing than anything else. Pretty much everyone knows what it means (excluding our older grandparents perhaps). Interesting fact: In the past, one of the word used to designate a pussy was "un con" which know hasn't the same meaning at all (that's a rude way to say to someone that he's an complete idiot :p more or less).
