My fields of interest are hadoop and big fata analysis (hbase, pig, java, etc.) and collaborative software design and development.

Imparfait vs. passé composé for devoir? You could maybe translate devait faire with had to do, thus uncertain about the outcome of the action, and a dû with did, thus certain that the action actually took place. Example: He had to leave but stayed an extra day. He left but had to stay an extra day. |

Usage of “mettre” with direct and indirect object vous is definitely an indirect object: à qui ? is the question that is answered with the indirect object: je mets l'info -> à qui ? -> à vous. But I disagree with the informality of the sentence. It is just not polite as referred to the vous but saying je te mets ton manteau en bas (I put your coat downstairs) is totally correct. |

Quelle est la différence entre « pour » et « contre » dans « un médicament pour/contre » ? c'est vrai qu'avec cancer, je dirais plus naturellement traité pour (traité contre sonne même très bizarre), même si je maintiens que ce n'est pas entièrement correct, à mon avis. |
