LThe first sentence is a bit ambiguous. The last part can be unserstood as a "third" step. I'm a native speaker and that's how i understood it after the first reading.

In my vision, "une note" = "un temps" = "une noire". But i don't know the english system... (While "une ronde" is worth "quatre temps"). That's what I learned in France...

The order is good, but It would be better to say "Pourquoi y a-t-il tant de gens ici qui parlent français aujourd'hui ?". And even here, having a temporal AND spatial precisions seems a bit "heavy" I would certainly remove "ici" and keep it implicit to lighten the sentence.

Mathématiquement/informatiquement, un ensemble est différent d'une bibliothèque (indexée, éléments complexes) et d'une collection(multiples occurences d'un même objet possible). Si l'ont souhaite être rigoureux, ces deux termes sont donc inappropriés. la notion d'ordre est quant à elle liée au terme "liste". Pour appuyer ceci, il est intéressant de voir l'usage des termes "list", "set" et "collection" dans le langage Java : fmora.developpez.com/tutoriel/java/collections/introduction/#
