comment Why is it “au lieu de” ?
I would note that the original English isn't referring to a specific chocolate as there is no article on "chocolate". The sentence is referencing to chocolate in general or abstract terms.

comment Utilisation d'« a priori »
Une « hypothèse fondée sur une observation » serait a posteriori, au moins dans une certaine mesure. A posteriori est le contraire de a priori.

comment Terminer une phrase avec un verbe (d'autant plus, au futur)
Être / to be is a special verb. It is a copula. Maybe different rules about word order apply to it compared to ordinary verbs.

comment Where can I find good reading materials without the literary tenses?
@Édouard, do you have any examples? As far as I can tell, his grammar is impeccable. I'm not an expert though, so I could be wrong, but it would be very strange for an eight-year old kid to speak with incorrect grammar. I don't understand what you mean by narrative and oral speech.

Stéphane, est-ce que vous prononcez grimperai et grimperez de la même façon ?
